Mary Euretig and Dave McKie will be our guides this Friday at noon.  The app is FREE with in-app purchases to remove ads or add voice recognition. Wait until you see the device-to-device AirTranslate feature! For on-the go-translations you will need an Internet connection, an iPhone with a cellular data plan.

iTranslate for iPad

When you open the app you will notice:
  • 2 Frames or screens; (input) for writing or speaking, (output) for translating
  • Flag icons allow you to choose language (60+ languages)
  • Curvy line allows you to switch between the two languages
  • Blue button translates your written/spoken message into the output screen
  • X  clears the writing and translation area
  • Keyboard icon gets you back to the home/opening screen
In the translation frame or screen you find three icons.
  • Star: (favorites) Select if you want to store the translation in your “favorites” file to review.  This feature is helpful if you want to practice words and phrases.
  • Arrow:  Selecting this icon allows you to share your translated message by email.
  • Loud Speaker:   Selecting this brings up submenus that allow you to:
    • -hear translation
    • -stop translation
    • -change speed
    • -change speaker (if applicable)

When you open the app you will notice:

  • 2 Frames or screens; input for writing, output for translating
  • Flag icons allow you to choose language (60+ languages)
  • Curvy line allows you to switch between the two languages
  • Blue button translates your written message into the output screen
  • Putting your curser in the input frame accesses the “Clear” button which clears the writing and translation area
Loudspeaker icon in lower left corner translates the written message into voice

Share button in lower right hand corner allows you to perform the following actions with your translated message:
  • Star  (Saves in favorites)
  • Copy
  • Text
  • Email
  • Tweet or Facebook
Gear icon in upper right corner allows you to:
  • Change voice between male/female (if applicable)
  • Change volume and speed of the translation
Icon with 3 horizontal lines in upper left corner allows you to:
  • Subscribe to Premium
  • Access favorites
  • Access history
  • Give feedback by email to vendor
