Friday, Sept. 18: Photos, Part I

Today begins a two- and possibly three-part series on the new Photos App, which Apple added last spring. It's powerful and of course complex!

This week, Mary Euretig and Karen Martin will explain the organization and features of the Photos App.  The advantages and disadvantages of enabling the iCloud Photo Library will also be discussed.

You probably already know that iOS9 is out! If you update, be sure and do it at home on wifi, with your device plugged in. It takes about 30-40 minutes. It turns out, I think, that you don't need the six-number passcode unless you are getting a new device. But you can do six characters if you want the extra security. And the new keyboard, with lower-case letters shown, is awesome!

We will also have the usual Apple News. The Tip for the day will be a photo-related one.

Remember, the classroom is not open until about 11:45 or 11:50.
