Friday, April 16: iTravel, Part III, Travel Apps

This is the third and final part of our iTravel Topics this semester. Today we would like to hear about a variety of Travel Apps. Mary Euretig will start us off: Say good-by to bulky paper guidebooks that take up precious space while traveling. Mary will demonstrate the features of a digital guidebook that make it superior to "old school" guides. See how digital guidebooks enhance both the planning and execution of a trip. Then any of you can contribute a Travel App that you like or find interesting. Depending on time, we might have a few to add, including one to find places to go when nature calls! Our Hot Tip will be using the Zoom feature on a specific spot of your iPhone or iPad screen. Before class, we will show some YouTube videos, including one that would probably keep many people from traveling to Florida! (Think BIG SNAKES!) We will start about 11:40.
