If you attended this session, your notes might vary from mine, but here goes:
Kathy & Nancy looked at many YouTube videos by searching for iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive. (Don't take the first link on the search page, instead look for presenters over the age of 11 that talk to boomers.) One resource they found was Grown Up Geek http://grownupgeek.com
iCloud for Apple devices
You need your Apple ID, and it includes a free email address in this format: user@icloud.com
Settings > iCloud > Apple ID > select apps as ON
CSP cloud service providers. iCloud 5GB, Dropbox 2GB, Google Drive 15 GB, OneDrive (Microsoft) 7GB, Bitcasa 5GB. It is a good idea to have accounts with different services - redundancy is good. Data, email & documents and Camera Roll if back upped. Photo Stream does not count against your iCloud free space.
Dropbox - works across platforms for computers & devices. Share a folder of documents or individual documents. Share link in email. Store large files instead of email attachment. Send files to FedEx to print/photocopy. Great for PC users to move images to and from iOS devices.
GoogleDrive (Google Docs) cross platform, keyword search across all documents. Share with others to view only, comment or edit. Share individual documents or a folder with others.
Move content to CSP account
Open document or iOS app. Touch Share button/icon [box with arrow]. Use the Open In... sharing option to different online services. Other options can be found by doing your own research. Try typing a variation of this keyword search: ios share documents with bitcasa
iOS apps need your permission
Give access to Photos by app when launching an app for the first time. Oops, if you declined to give access to an app, then go to Settings > Privacy > Photos and swipe to enable the app (button should show green background color.)
